Is The Time of Year One Raid Weapons Gone?

Throughout the last few years, Destiny 2 has experienced several sandbox changes that have drastically changed the landscape of the game. With the introduction of random rolls and the return of the Artifact, players have to change how they play. While introducing game-breaking weapons and mods, this has left Raid weapons in the dust.

Raid weapons are supposed to be the best that Destiny has to offer; often, you would need to grind all three characters to acquire them. Once upon a time, the raid weapons were seen everywhere. Now, there is no purpose in owning them. It's all about the exotic weapons. Both Telesto and Jotunn are known for breaking the game.

With that said, it would not take much to see Year One Raid weapons like Midnight Coup, The Emperor's Envy, and Sins of the Past return as top tier weapons. All that Bungie would need to do is update the weapons with random rolls and ability to use YearThree mods that you might find in the Seasonal Artifact.

These simple changes would be a reason for veterans of Destiny 2 to take to the Year One raids once more. We can only hope this will the future for the raid weapons of The Leviathan, Eater of Worlds, and Spire Stars.
